POTD Jan 18

This is what we call Monte Kristy's. They are turkey and (soy) cheese with avacado on sourdough dipped in egg and cooked like french toast. It is so yummy and good we have it a few times a month.
PS..this was POTD Jan 18

Ahhh...this IS one of the reasons I love California! Yes..this picture was taken in the middle of January! We are actually having some what of a heat wave this winter. Well, not exactly heat wave, but it has been in the 70's and low 80's in the bay area for a week or two.

Mmmmmm......cupcake! I am cooking up a few projects for Valentine's day and beyond! There is just something freeing when you push around some paint with a paintbrush. It's always interesting to see the results, sometimes you keep them...sometimes you Gesso over them, and it always all good.

Yes..I have skipped a few days, and I haven't posted anything either. Well, here it goes!

One of my favorite drinks is Passion Tea with Lemonade, less sweet please. It's a sweet, tart, cold and lovely! I couldn't believe it does not have any artificial colorant! Yay! Maybe that's why I really like it. It is a red drink I can actually have! As many know I am allergic to FD&C and LAKE red dye. Since that stupid stuff is in just about everything, I seek out the thinks that "should" be on the reaction list but aren't. It makes me feel naughty.....or something like that...

Photo of the day, January 2, 2009

Today was a quiet day spent at home. I got caught up with some laundry, some housekeeping and even scrapped a 2 page layout, which I will share soon.

Which brings me to my photo of the day......

Gain Family!

I LOVE the smell of clothes that have been freshly washed and dried with Gain. It's such a fresh, clean and lovely smell. I've used it for quite a few years, and hope they never stop making it!

Whaaaaaaat?! She started a blog?!

Xmas Ornaments

Christmas is over, it is officially a new year. It's the time of resolutions, or as I like to call them, the ok to lie to yourself. Maybe that's because I have never, ever kept any resolution I have ever made.....ever. I don't even feel bad about it. : )

I have taken down the Christmas tree, almost finished putting the living room furniture back in order. I haven't started to put away the misc. knick knacks of Santa, ornaments, and other Christmas decorations. I think I'm even going to put away my winter snowmen and penguins. I feel the need to put my home back in regular order. Whatever "regular" means. I do want to get out my Valentine's boxes and see what lurks there. I know I don't have much, and I see some projects coming together in my head!

As for this new blog I'm starting, I think I want to do a photo of the day, and know I want to post my projects whether it's scrapbooking, altered canvas', or other various crafty goodness. I'm learning, and we'll just see how this goes!

I bid you happiness, prosperity, and love in this new year of 2009! Oh...and this...just for fun!
